Stealth mushrooms cottage pie

Major busy day including liberating a jumperoo from a lovely lady in derby, as I cannot find my way out of a paper bag ended up in a magical mystery tour of Chelleston! Also a hospital appointment I have not got any time for illness and as I might not be back for tea I've made a quick cottage pie. Myself I hate it, being a houmous and salad kind of girl but it keeps the men of the house happy and I have made it baby friendly.

Stealth cottage pie

Lean beef mince or you could use quorn
Leeks
Mushrooms
Carrots
Peas
Salt free stock

The trick is as my son can spot a mushrooms at 100 yards even if it was covered in chocolate! Blend the veg finely I just use my little baby blender. Then I put all ingredients in slow cooker over night took my 10 minutes to prepare and it smelt yummy this morning.

The topping

Cauliflower and potatoes boiled and mashed together thus adding some more scrummy veg and just stick in oven for 30 minutes to warm for tea time

Result Lala had it for lunch and loved it and crafty mummy got mushrooms in big boy!

Breakfast bars went down a treat yesterday especially with daddy at least it wasn't expressed baby milk! Hahaha

baby led what???

I've reached the dreaded time of weaning!! As a mum of 3 you would of thought I would know what I'm doing!! But with having a new little one and an 8 & 9 year old apparently in these years purees and baby rice have become the devil food!! So im doing what a good mummy should do and doing as I'm told (or telling the health visitor that)

I was just in the kitchen making one of my marvellous creations being the domestic goddess I am and trying to give my new little person the best start in life before she lives on chicken nuggets and smiley faces! And I thought I'd share my ideas with other like minded mummies whether they are successes or epic fails!!

Lalas breakie cakes

Took 5 minutes to prepare

Porridge oats
Raisins
Apricots
Milk personal preference if you want to use baby milk I did

Blended all together finely spread out into a baking tin on greaseproof paper and bake on about 200 for 30 minutes leave to cool and cut into spares nom nom!

P's as I'm sure you all know but I have to say babies should be  6 months old (apparently it's not 12 weeks anymore!) Make sure they can hold their little heads and never leave them alone

Big hugs to all mummies I'm know going to chip sneezed banana of my lovely leather sofa xxx
